Mardi Gras Colors

These colors make me think of Mardi Gras and so I made this fun card for my mom.  I'd ordered the stitched frames, but hadn't used them before.  This also uses the tonic drops I'd gotten from Simon Says Stamps.  The white background is lightly embossed - it is hard to see in the photo.  I really like this card, it might be one of my all time favorites!  Originally I had another, larger frame in red added, but didn't like the card as well.  My sweet husband suggested that having  4 rectangles might be too much.  I decided to remove the red rectangle and now I love the card!

Just Thinking About You

I wanted to send a "Just thinking about you" card, so I used a stamp set I'd never used and some nesties I don't use often.  The inside of the card just says "thinking about you".

Hippy Coos

One of our favorite things about visiting Scotland are the Highland Cows, AKA Heilan Coos.  I call them Hippy Coos because of all the hair in their eyes.  I made this card for my husband, with its hippy coo and all the different shades of green.

Cats and Dogs

I was wondering around Michael's recently and found these Tim Holtz stamp/die/embossing folder sets and couldn't resist.  I am a cat person so I had to have that one, and I know dog people, so I had to have that one AND they were buy one, get one half off.  Who could argue with that?

Washi Tape Cards

I have collected washi tape and never really known how to use it well.  I made several cards, but they were clumsy attempts and I never sent them.  However, I was on Pinterest and found a card that used washi tape and was so elegant, I had to CASE it.  I would like to thank the person that came up with the design originally, but I don't know who it was or where to find it again.  So THANK YOU!

Birthday cards

I needed a couple of birthday cards and had my Distress inks out, so I used my stipple brushes to color white paper letters I had cut out.  The first uses the Stampin Up! Large letters die and the second uses a Happy Birthday die from Simon Says Stamps.

St. Patrick's Day

I made St. Patrick's Day cards this year. What's sad is that I bought the shamrock die set from Impression Obsession in preparation of making cards and then a couple of weeks later, when I actually started making cards, I bought them again.  I must really have liked them to have bought them twice!!!
