It's Been Too Long

This Lawn Fawn stamp/die set is so very cute.  I used it, Simon Says Stamp's Peek-A-Boo frame set and the Lawn Fawn dies, Simple Grassy Hillsides and Stitched Waved Borders to create this card.  I'm still learning how to color blend with the Copics, and show you which pens I used for each animal.  First I brushed the plain paper with Tim Holtz's Tumbled Glass distress ink to create the sky, then I cut the grass and river from scraps.  I cut the frame from Recollection's Kraft paper and then assembled the pieces.  The little Hello stamp is an old one from Inky Antics.  The inside says "It has been too long" and then I hand wrote a message about hoping to see my friend again soon.

Healing Hugs

I just received my Simon Says Stamp set Healing Hugs.  Its simplicity is calming, and I think hugs are important these days.  I made four different colors of cards, with one version that is not a standard shape card that folds over, but is just the single layer.  Actually, I did put a coordinating purple on the back of the card so I could stamp another sentiment and sign it, so it really a double layer flat card.  I believe that is what they are being called, flat cards, when they don't fold over like a traditional card.

I also decorated the envelopes to match the cards.  The orange/yellow card I sent to my mom. :)

Leaves

I found this card online; I love Lisa's blog, she makes amazing cards.

I liked it so much that I bought the stamp set with its matching dies, Be Kind, from Simon Says Stamp.

Here is my take on the card.

Edited to add additional cards.

Chemistry Geek

I made this box card to give to my husband.  It is very appropriate since we both have Chemistry degrees!  It isn't evident in this picture, but the hair is subtly gray.  I think it is the best blending I have done, and you can't see it! LOL
