Mardi Gras

 I made a card and then decided it had very Mardi Gras coloring.  So now that it is close to Mardi Gras, decided to rework the card to make it MORE Mardi Gras.

Here is the final card, both the outside and the inside.  This version uses a fleor-di-lis embossing folder for the background, removed the blue color, and added more flor-di-lis to the inside in the traditional colors of purple, yellow, green.

A friend's dog passed away recently and I made a sympathy card for her.  Mac was so dear to my friend Ricki that I wanted this card to be special.  It took several false starts before I came up with this one. This challenge sparked the idea.

Here is my version of this sketch. I really liked the cord in the example, but couldn't get it up work on mine.  I also like their use of multiple sized stars but only had the one size of leaf that would work.

This is my version of this card. It is something I would not have made except for the challenge and it took quite a while to get it to where I like it.  I think I would emboss the greeting next time as it doesn't show up well on the washi tape.

This card has 3 elements that I've had but haven't used...the chicken image (Penny Black), the grass image from Wetlands, and the Nestabilities.
